Community Supported Agriculture
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial arrangement between farmers and community members. Members purchase a share of the farm produce at the beginning of the season and receive seasonally available, organically grown vegetables once a week from mid-June to mid-October. Members share in the bounty as well as the risks associated with farming.
What are CSA plans for 2010?
Maplehill Farm will not run a CSA for the 2010 growing season in order to concentrate on producing and preserving food products for use by students enrolled in the Maplehill School's programs and to support our participation in the Maple Hill Neighborhood Resource Sharing initiative. Through this initiative we are exploring food sharing/work exchange arrangements with our Maple Hill neighbors.
